Having moved to Northern Michigan nearly 30 years ago, I quickly embraced the slower pace of life, and formed a deep respect for the untouched natural beauty of my new environment. During Covid, when isolation found so many of us getting back to nature, I dusted off my 12-year-old Nikon and headed for the woods and shorelines. I found that my hand tremors, a condition I was diagnosed with several years ago, were overpowering my camera’s stability system, and it was either time to give up my passion or find a new way to keep doing what I love. My choice…
to challenge myself, and keep moving forward! I worked with the local camera shop to find the best camera for me, as well as some adaptations to my equipment and my photography process to make it easier for me to take great photographs. Learning all the features of my new equipment is ongoing and part of loving the challenge. I am thrilled when able to capture an incredible scene through my lens and translate that to a print vying for wall space! My love for all four seasons has elevated my passion for photography - it truly brings me joy! I hope one of my prints finds a special place in you heart and home!
